Pernahkan kita membuat suatu kalimat yang memiliki kesamaan pada Predikat
Contoh
I work in Computer Factory and My sister works in Computer Factory.
Contoh Tersebut adalah Dua Kalimat yang memiliki kesamaan predikat. Untuk Menghemat kata maka kita Gunakan Rumus Elliptical Construction dan mengurangi kata kata yang tidak diperlukan.
Jadi Elliptical Construction Berfungsi untuk membentuk kalimat Efektif. Elliptical Construction Memiliki Tiga bentuk yaitu Positive Elliptical Construction dan Negative Elliptical Construction
1. Positive Elliptical Construction
Sentence + so + aux + S
Sentence + S + aux + too
A. Rani is a High School student. Her sister is a High school student.
– Rani is a High school student and so is her sister.
– Rani is a High School student and her sister is too.
– Rani is a High School student and her sister is too.
B. I Will work in Computer Factory and My sister Will work in Computer Factory.
– I Will work in Computer Factory and So Will She.
